Want to contribute to an anthology?

If you would like to contribute a story, the first thing to do is contact us - we will send you a template and author entry form. If your story is ready and already in our template, simply send it to us (with your author form) by email on hello@sonderbooks.co.uk. There is no way to submit a story using the website - we like personal contact!

There is no cost for you to submit a story and there is no cost if we choose it for publication. As an author you will be able to buy as many copies as you like at half-price, enabling you to resell them and make a profit, or just give them away - it's up to you.

Formatting

We will provide a Microsoft Word template for you to use, along with style and formatting guidelines. If you don't use Word, we can still accept your submission.

Project Rules

No submissions from under 18s unless specifically requested
Your story must be all your own work
Your story must not contain anything that is legally questionable or libellous.
We do not accept stories written by AI.

How the book will be sold

The book will be sold primarily on Amazon.
You will have the option to buy as many copies as you like at half price if you choose, which you can resell or give away.
We expect authors to help promote the book by spreading the word among friends and family - after all, they'll want to read your story!

Money

We will never ask you to pay to contribute to our books
We do not pay royalties but you can make money from your story by buying as many copies as you like at a discounted rate and reselling although there is no obligation to do so.

It's your story. You retain the copyright and you can publish the story elsewhere if you choose - we do not have any claim over it.

Once you have submitted your story we reserve the right to use it in the book for which you have submitted. We will not publish it elsewhere or include it in any other collections.

The copyright to the book as a complete work remains with Sonder Books, as does the copyright for the cover.

Hopefully we will include your story - if we are inundated we may include it in a "Volume 2" but only with your permission.

We reserve the right to refuse submissions for reasons of suitability, quality or legality.

Privacy & Safety

We have no reason to sell your data - such as email address - to anyone else. We will only use it to contact you in connection with the project in which you have shown an interest.

We do not hold any other data for you - we have no need to know your bank details or any other personal information, with the exception of the point below.

If you choose to buy books in bulk from this website (optional), then your payment is handled by a secure third party - PayPal - and we will never see your bank or card details. We will of course see your address, because we need to know where to have your books sent to.
