Copyright & Submissions

It's your story. You retain the copyright and you can publish the story elsewhere if you choose - we do not have any claim over it.

Once you have submitted your story we reserve the right to use it in the book for which you have submitted. We will not publish it elsewhere or include it in any other collections.

The copyright to the book as a complete work remains with Sonder Books, as does the copyright for the cover.

Hopefully we will include your story - if we are inundated we may include it in a "Volume 2" but only with your permission.

We reserve the right to refuse submissions for reasons of suitability, quality or legality.

Privacy & Safety

We have no reason to sell your data - such as email address - to anyone else. We will only use it to contact you in connection with the project in which you have shown an interest.

We do not hold any other data for you - we have no need to know your bank details or any other personal information, with the exception of the point below.

If you choose to buy books in bulk from this website (optional), then your payment is handled by a secure third party - PayPal - and we will never see your bank or card details. We will of course see your address, because we need to know where to have your books sent to.

Making Money from Your Story

We do not pay for submissions, and do not pay royalties.

You might like to buy some copies of the book you've contributed to - maybe as gifts, to add to your portfolio or to sell at a profit.

As a contributor you have the option to purchase unlimited copies of any of our books at a discounted price - enabling you to add a margin and resell if you so choose.

These special rates are not available to the general public, so you will need to log in to our Author's Club, to which we will give you a password.

The Charities

All of our "Community Collections" have a charitable beneficiary. Charities are chosen for their relevance to the theme of the book, and we set up a partnership with those organisations, rather than simply make a donation. This enables us to make our partnership more official, and helps us to spread the word about teh books via the charity's own channels.
