We are looking for writers and authors to contribute to the anthologies detailed below.
Whether you are a seasoned scribe or an enthusiastic novice, we'd love to hear from you.
We don't charge - ever. There's no catch, so pick a project, and get writing!
You can contribute to as many projects as you like.

May 31st Deadline:

"Ashes" - start your story with someone's ashes being scattered, then tell the story of the deceased, or of those present, explaining why the scattering spot was chosen. The more interesting and quirky the backstory, the better. The story can be any genre, set at any time.

"Once Upon a Time in Broadstairs" - the third in our series of local stories, this one focusing on the characterful Kent seaside town, Broadstairs.

Pop Fiction (80s & 90s volumes) - a series of anthologies et against the music scene of the 60s & 70s Details here >>
June 30th Deadline:

"Once Upon a Time in Cornwall" - the next collection of local stories, this time focusing on a whole county - and one which should give you plenty of inspiration!

"Shanty Tales" - write a story inspired by a traditional sea shanty, or telling the story of the events or characters of the song

"The Great Beyond" - what is your vision of the afterlife? We are looking for imaginative stories set in the next life, whether that's a traditional view of paradise or something completely different.
July 31st Deadline:

"Once Upon a Time in Whitby" - due for publication in time for Halloween, with spooky and gothic tales set in this famous town

Unnamed Halloween Anthology - we don't have a title yet but this collection will feature stories centred around the folklore of Halloween - witches, Jack O'Lanterns, ghosts and ghouls, bats, cats and more.

Unnamed Horror Anthology - also for publication around Halloween this will be a collection of proper horror tales - think Stephen King!
August 31st Deadline

"Whisperglade" - our first fantasy anthology, set in the large woodland village of Whisperglade - a place with a 10,000 year history and human and non-human inhabitants. We would love to hear your ideas for this one!

Once Upon a Time in Stratford - the next in our anthologies celebrating specific towns - this time, it's Shakespeare's birthplace - Stratford-upon-Avon.
September 30th Deadline:

"Christmas Avenue" - The 1920s suburban cul-de-sac "Christmas Avenue" has many stories to tell from it's 100 year history - especially around the festive season. Pick a house number (which will also be the title of your story) and let your imagination run wild - any genre, any year!
