Once Upon a Time in Whitby

One of four anthologies we plan to publish for Halloween - this is the Halloween contribution to our regular "Once Upon a Time" series.

𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱'𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘀 - 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀!

We are looking for (fictional) spooky stories inspired by Britain’s horror capital for a new anthology due for release in time for Halloween.

Think ghosts on the clifftops, strange encounters in the abbey ruins, vampires stalking the old streets, sinister goings-on in a harbour pub, a strange happening at Goth Weekend, legends from the sea, things that go bump in a Whitby B&B.... anything you like, as long as it's spooky and set in Whitby.

Your story can be chilling, funny, mysterious, supernatural or simply deliciously dark. It can be set at any point in history. So venture into the fog, let your imagination loose and send us your Whitby tale…

There is no cost for you to submit a story and there is no cost if we choose it for publication.  As an author you will be able to buy as many copies as you like at half-price, enabling you to resell and make a profit.
